Partnerships on Equal Terms? A Critical Examination of South-North Relations
Global cooperation is essential to addressing challenges such as climate change, social inequality, and sustainable development. However, partnerships between the Global South and North are often still shaped by power imbalances, historical dependencies, and structural injustices.
How can we create partnerships that truly operate on equal terms, characterized by mutual respect, justice, and solidarity—rather than reproducing existing hierarchies and inequalities? Together with three experts from Latin America and Germany, we seek to explore these questions.
What to expect?

• [Input 2] Erika Harzer, Germany: The Solidarity Movements of the 1980s – A Look Back and Today’s Perspectives
What can we learn from the solidarity movements between Germany and Central America? What new forms of solidarity are needed today?
